About Us
Donald K. McCartney, MD is a fellowship trained pediatric orthopedic surgeon working at Optim Orthopedics under the banner of Optim Healthcare. He has been in practice since 1993 and in Savannah since 2003. His practice covers much of South Georgia and the South Carolina low country, treating scoliosis, extremity deformities, clubfeet and fractures.

Medical School - University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, MD
Internship - Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA, General surgery and Transitional internship
Residency - Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA, Orthopedic surgery
Fellowship - Children's Hospital New Orleans and LSU, New Orleans, LA
Staff
Andy is the physician's assistant to Dr. McCartney. He sees patients with Dr. McCartney and on his own. He assists in surgery. He has studied and worked with Dr. McCartney since his graduation from South University with his PA masters degree. Many patients would rather see him than the Dr!
Medical assistant and scheduling work are covered by Stacie and Danielle. They keep our schedules busy, keep patients moving through the clinic and answer phone calls. They try to keep us in line, but frequently fail at that!
